    Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the DIRECTOR LOGISTICS, FLEET SUPPLY & ORDNANCE of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption. Responsibilities You will review completed work for soundness of overall approach and conformity to procedures and policies established by higher authority. You will develop and provide guidance in response to inquiries regarding operational logistics, audit compliance, and supply chain management programs and policies. You will monitor logistics readiness data for all ship types and engage Program Managers in working to improve logistics training, repair part material availability, budget preparation and equipment configuration management. You will direct and supervise Pacific Fleet’s Internal Review Program audit testing and Navy Independent Public Accountant audit response for Financial Audit segments. You will perform as the Pacific Fleet Program Manager for Logistics Information Systems used by Operational Forces. You will be responsible for Fleet afloat activities and shore-based support organizations with the purpose of reducing workload afloat and increasing readiness, while resolving logistical problems and supply issues. You will develop and maintain long-range plans, measures of effectiveness, and other metrics for all Directorate functional areas. You will plan and assign the work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-14 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing fleet supply and logistics programs by evaluating administrative and technical requirements (e.g. reviewing policies and procedures, analyzing system capabilities, conducting projects or studies) in order to develop organizational objectives, policies, and procedures aimed at improving operational logistics and supply chain management programs.
