The primary purpose of this role is to drive total front store sales and margin by working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to develop new CPG products for retail shelves, optimize and grow existing products, and responsibly sunset underperforming CPG products for retail shelves. The role is accountable for CPG product development for placement on retail shelves, vendor negotiations, and acting as a liaison between external vendors and internal partners such as inventory and category management.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Managing product availability issues
+ Maintaining supplier relationships
+ Ensuring timely execution of new items and product updates
+ Collaborating with various teams to meet all project protocols
This position also involves representing the company in supplier negotiations and managing the current assortment of store brand products in assigned categories in CVS Stores.
Tactical Project Execution
+ Executes on tactical steps within project plans with minimal support.
+ Partner across departments in the enterprise (Inventory, CMs, SB BGI, SB CX, etc.) to support the full end to end CPG product lifecycle management.
+ Executes a prioritized roadmap that successfully delivers the company’s & Store Brand’s ambitions, including changes in products, policies and/or processes across our ecosystem.
+ Leads and participates in meetings/calls with vendor partners & cross functional internal partners.
+ Follows up on strategic initiatives and KPI performance.
Acts as a Subject Matter Expert in the tactical requirements of Product Lifecycle Management, will train Associate Product Development Managers
Stakeholder Influence and Change Management
+ Partners cross-functionally, within own team, to leverage outputs of current reporting tools and coordinate communications as needed.

Develops and manages a standardized set of views that are used to internally monitor macro-level trends and key drivers of each
Strategy Planning
+ Collaborates on the creation & execution of category level CPG product roadmaps at the direction of the Lead Director, balancing short term execution with long term strategies.
+ Periodically builds end to end strategy.
+ Collaborates with the Lead Director & CM to develop and align on category strategy + Product Roadmap
+ Facilitates the creation of leadership level materials with cross-functional CM, Inventory, CX, & BGI partnership for key touchpoints such as:
+ Planogram Walks
+ Pipeline & New Item Meetings
+ CM New Item Review
+ Category Planogram Strategy Kickoffs
Supports the Lead Director in developing an effective communication strategy for alerting both internal and external leaders of anticipated changes to current product lifecycle
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years’ experience in retail and/or in a corporate environment.
+ 5+ years’ proven track record of successfully influencing others with and without authority.
+ 5+ years’ experience understanding and breaking down highly complex situations to deliver impactful solutions in real time.
+ 5+ years’ experience effectively demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills, very strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
+ 5+ years’ experience achieving both short-term and long-term goals on a deadline.
+ 5+ years’ experience in retail category management, CPG product development, and/or CPG product lifecycle management
+ Regular and reliable attendance during normal working hours, as established by the leader.
+ Any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager.
+ Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
+ **Travel requirements** – up to 10% travel expected, based on needs of the business
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 8+ years’ experience in retail and/or in a corporate environment.
+ 8+ years of demonstrated successful leadership experience in a highly competitive environment. Relevant sectors include retail, merchandising, marketing, finance, consulting, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.
+ 8+ years’ proven track record of successfully influencing others with and without authority.
+ 8+ years’ experience understanding and breaking down highly complex situations to deliver impactful solutions in real time.
+ 8+ years’ experience effectively demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills, very strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
+ 8+ years’ experience achieving both short-term and long-term goals on a deadline.
+ 8+ years’ experience in retail category management, CPG product development, and/or CPG product lifecycle management
+ Experience building end to end strategies.
+ Expeirence creating playbooks that address complex business issues and/or mitigation strategies.
+ Master’s degree.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
