Responsibilities:

Patient Meal Services:

Communicate daily patient menu and collect patient meal orders.

Collaborate with the Food & Nutrition Department to ensure accurate meal preparation and delivery.

Distribute and collect food trays to patients.

Patient Support & Communication:

Answer or relay patient questions or concerns to the appropriate nursing staff.

Provide emotional support and comfort care to patients and family members by giving personalized attention.

Implement Service Recovery for patients and families.

Ensure patient identification verification through continuous wristband checks.

Maintain and update patient communication boards with patient diet information.

Review diet listings before each meal with the nursing staff to ensure correct patient diet orders and NPO adherence.

Patient Monitoring & Safety:

Observe patient eating patterns, and work with the nursing staff on high-risk patients.

Supports delivery of the best Hospitality Care to patients and guests by way of Nutrition/Meal Assistance, as well as communicating patient and visitor issues to other departments.

Resource Management & Compliance:

Maintain patient pantry and patient supplies/carts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Perform related duties as required.

Experience & Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * 1-3 years of relevant experience in a hospitality, customer service, or healthcare setting required. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment. * Strong team orientation and flexibility. * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. * Compassionate and empathetic nature. * Ability to maintain patient confidentiality. * Basic knowledge of dietary requirements is a plus

The salary range for this position is $22.81-$24.07/hour
