We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources team in Fishkill. This role is responsible for handling day-to-day HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR reporting. The ideal candidate will be a people-oriented professional with a strong understanding of HR practices. Some specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Overseeing the HR Assistant on day-to-day employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
+ Performing full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, attending job fairs and hosting open houses, screening, interviewing, and onboarding,
+ Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems.
+ Collaborating with Central Human Resources to administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and open enrollment processes.
+ Coordinating the performance management processes, including evaluations and feedback coordination.
+ Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
+ Handling employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
+ Collaborating with the Training Department on training and development initiatives.
+ Hosting employee engagement council.
+ Generating HR reports and analytics to support decision-making.
+ Participating in HR projects and initiatives as required
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field is required. HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a strong plus.
+ Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role.
+ Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices is essential for success.
+ Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., Peoplesoft, ADP, Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
