    • Now Hiring: Lab Assistant – Disease Trait Discovery Team

    **📍 Location:** Durham, NC (RTP Area)

    **💵 Pay:** $20–$22/hr.

    **📅 Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM

    • On-site: Greenhouse + Lab Environment

    • About the Role:

     

    Join a hands-on team at the forefront of plant science innovation! As a **Lab Assistant** on our **Disease Trait Discovery Team** , you’ll work both in the **greenhouse** and **lab** , supporting experiments, maintaining cultures, and collecting plant data.

     

    This is a great opportunity for a **motivated learner** with a passion for biology, microbiology, or horticulture.

     

    • You MUST:

    + Be available **M–F, 8AM–5PM**

    + Be comfortable working in both **greenhouse and lab environments**

    + Be **team-oriented** and eager to support a collaborative research effort

    + Be physically able to collect plant samples and maintain greenhouse tasks

    • Preferred (But Not Required – We’ll Train the Right Fit!):

    + Experience with **microbiology** : sterile culture of fungi & bacteria

    + Wet lab skills: **PCR, gel electrophoresis, bacterial transformation, leaf infiltration**

    + Familiar with **Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint**

    + Near completion or recent grad with a **bachelor’s degree** in biology, horticulture, or related field

    **Pay Details:** $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
