    Position Overview

    As the Senior Director of Thought Leadership, you will lead the cultivation of a robust industry network to elevate brand awareness and strengthen the company’s reputation. You will drive the development and execution of impactful communication strategies, thought leadership initiatives, and media relations programs that position the organization as an industry leader.

    Role Requirements:

    + Partner closely with the Growth team and practice lines (Advertising and Promotion, Medical Communications, and Market Access) to develop the marketing communications strategy and content that builds the BGB brand and generates demand for BGB solutions

    + Public Relations- Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media. Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations

    + Digital Marketing - Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media

    + Non-Digital Marketing - Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them

    + Events & Trade Shows - Coordinate all public relations activities. Develop and implement a simple, high-impact manner of communicating Thought-Leadership outputs (internally and externally)

    Collaboration:

    + Work closely with Growth/Marketing, Advertising & Promotion, Omnichannel, Medical Comms, Market Access, and Consulting teams

    Preferred Qualifications

    + 10-12 years of marketing communications experience

    + Clinical development industry experience highly desirable

    + Ability to present, influence and defend communications strategies with executive management

    + Exceptional writing ability and design acumen

    + Able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and from departments throughout the company

    + Able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and stakeholders, and generate creative and pragmatic solutions

    + Inquisitive personality, someone who sees a data point and wants to understand everything that influences it

    + Leverage Generative AI to enhance and scale output

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, business, or a related field

    Preferred Skills:

    + Excellent communication and persuasion skills- able to convincingly sell ideas and plans to internal constituencies, executives, prospects, sales team and analysts.

    + Self- sufficiency- Identify solutions and strategic direction despite high degrees of ambiguity and uncertainty.

    + Multi-tasking and agility: Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully execute projects under a heavy workload and changing conditions is critical

     

    Salary range : $160,000 - $210,000

     

    The salary range provided is for the NYC-hybrid position, which requires occasional in-office presence, and represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. For candidates in other locations, salary will be adjusted to reflect local market rates. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at BGB Group.
