    Shielding Assembler II 1st Shift (TEMP-TO-PERM)

     

    Schedule: M-F 7:00am – 3:30pm

     

    Pay Rate: $19

     

    Department: Shielding Manufacturing

    Job Functions:

    + Assembles the top metal sheet to acoustic ceiling, floor, or wall panel by inserting Hen Rods.

    + Measures length and width to calculate the placement of drill holes, per blueprint, drills the holes and inserts rivets.

    + Installs glass into acoustic panel. Drills window frame onto panel.

    + Inserts door, places and drills hinges, door seal and magnetic gasket. Inserts Jack panel for USB and Internet into windows per blueprint.

    + Performs preventative maintenance on machines.

    + Sands out scratches and/or dents with electric sander. Powder coats panels by loading the hopper and touching up panels. Cleans the paint chamber.

    Physical Demands:

    + Extreme ambulatory requirements – ability to stand/sit/move with no physical limitations or aids to perform activities. Lots of lifting, group efforts.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + 3-5 years of experience on an industrial manufacturing assembly environment or building construction.

    Ability to

    + Inform electrician if wiring is needed.

    + Inform and assist in resolving defects in acoustic panels.

    + Use a variety of hand tools or equipment, measuring devices, drills, and hammers, etc.

    + Perform simple math.

    + read and interpret blueprints

    + Assists Assembler I as necessary.

    + Wet paint as necessary.

    + Do work assigned by supervisor.

    + Follows safety rules and procedures.

    + Works in team environment, be quality conscious and strive for continuous improvement with emphasis on Lean and 5s principles.

    **Pay Details:** $19.00 per hour
