Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Job Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Certified Payroll Specialist to support federal project work for a construction and engineering consulting firm in Lenexa, KS. This newly created role will require certified payroll support for employees and various administrative tasks related to project work.

Responsibilities

+ Support federal project work by uploading certified payroll for employees.

+ Ensure accuracy and compliance with federal payroll regulations.

+ Maintain payroll records and documentation.

+ Assist with payroll processing and reporting.

+ Collaborate with project managers and HR to ensure timely and accurate payroll submissions.

+ Perform other administrative tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Expertise in payroll, payroll tax, and data entry.

+ Strong administrative support and project coordination skills.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.

+ Certified Payroll knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years of experience working in a fast-paced office environment.

+ Exposure to payroll support for employees.

+ Experience in the construction or engineering industry is preferred.

Work Environment

The position is based on-site at the corporate office in Lenexa, operating during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. After training, there is an opportunity to earn one day a week working from home.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
