Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Construction Purchasing Administrator, supporting the Pre-Construction Team on key project deliverables for 2025. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and enjoys collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain vendor pricing in Procore using client-specific formats, including tables, spreadsheets, and catalogs.
+ Request and organize documentation from vendors and suppliers in a digital filing system.
+ Utilize Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) to create and manage product catalogs and building program documentation.
+ Communicate regularly via email and phone with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely updates and deliverables.
+ Collaborate with the Director of Pre-Construction to meet project milestones and deadlines.
+ Streamline vendor payment processes and assist with ERP/CRM system setup for new vendors.
+ Maintain and track purchase orders and related records to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Essential Skills
+ 2–3 years of experience in a construction-related environment (vendor, builder, subcontractor, etc.).
+ Proven experience with vendor management including payments, onboarding new vendors, and collaborating closely with accounting teams.
+ Familiarity with ADP and general bookkeeping practices.
+ High attention to detail when entering and maintaining data.
+ Self-starter who can independently manage responsibilities, provide regular updates, and escalate issues when needed.
+ Solid understanding of construction materials and terminology.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Procore ERP/CRM is a strong plus!!!
+ Experience transitioning from Sage to Procore, especially with vendor payment tools.
+ Previous experience in construction estimating.
+ Spanish language proficiency.
+ Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
+ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage large scopes of work across multiple projects.
Work Environment
This role is based at the Austin, TX campus and will report to the Director of Pre-Construction. The work environment includes partnerships with the internal accounting team and occasional interaction with PMs, Architecture, Sales, and others in an open office environment. The position is office-based, on-site, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.00/hr.
