System One has an exciting VMWare/Nutanix Administrator opportunity with a partner in the Tulsa, OK area.

VMware/Nutanix Administrator Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VMware/Nutanix Administrator to join this great company's enterprise infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of their virtualized environments across VMware vSphere and Nutanix platforms. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, enterprise-scale environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Administer, monitor, and maintain VMware vSphere and Nutanix AHV clusters across multiple data centers.
+ Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available virtual infrastructure solutions.
+ Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization of virtual environments.
+ Manage VM provisioning, cloning, snapshots, and lifecycle operations.
+ Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup solutions for virtual environments.
+ Collaborate with storage, network, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, including root cause analysis.
+ Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and best practices.
+ Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
+ Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN).
+ 3+ years of experience with Nutanix AHV and Prism Central in an enterprise environment.
+ Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, hyperconverged infrastructure, and data center operations.
+ Experience with automation tools (e.g., PowerCLI, Ansible) and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
+ Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).
+ Solid knowledge of networking and storage concepts as they relate to virtualization.
+ Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
+ Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) certifications.
+ Experience with hybrid cloud environments (e.g., VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure Stack HCI).
+ Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., vRealize Operations, Nutanix Insights).
+ Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare) is a plus.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
