Job Title: Production Operator

Job Description

As a Production Operator, you will work on the production floor standing for over 9 hours a day, starting as a machine assistant. The role involves collecting cardboard at the end of a fast-paced machine, with some machines producing up to 400 boxes per minute. You will be responsible for inspecting boxes using a tape measure, assisting in various areas, and maintaining a swift pace. In slower periods, you are expected to find productive tasks such as sweeping. Additionally, you will work in the baler room, collecting excess materials from each station and managing them in the baler room.

Responsibilities

+ Operate and assist with machinery on the production floor.

+ Collect and inspect cardboard boxes at the end of machines.

+ Maintain a fast pace, handling up to 400 boxes per minute.

+ Inspect boxes using a tape measure to the 1/8 of an inch.

+ Assist in different areas and find tasks during slower periods.

+ Work in the baler room, collecting and managing excess materials.

Essential Skills

+ 1 year of production or manufacturing experience.

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.

+ Proficient in reading a tape measure to the 1/8 of an inch.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience running gluer machines.

Work Environment

The position is on the 1st shift, from 6 AM to 2 PM. The facility, while not climate-controlled, remains relatively clean and comfortable during the winter, though it can get warm in the summer due to the machines. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
