Job Title: Commercial Painter

Job Description

Seeking an experienced commercial painter skilled in brush and roll techniques. The role involves painting large areas using rollers on extendable poles and precise cutting in with brushes. Candidates should have experience in prepping surfaces, including patching drywall and sanding for cosmetic purposes.

Responsibilities

+ Execute painting tasks using brush and roll techniques, ensuring a professional finish.

+ Prepare surfaces by patching drywall and sanding imperfections to ensure optimal paint application.

+ Cover all surfaces, including floors, and move furniture as necessary to facilitate painting.

+ Paint at the top of walls in a straight line without using painter's tape.

+ Engage in projects around the Rochester area, focusing on commercial new constructions and remodels.

Essential Skills

+ Prior experience painting in a commercial or residential setting.

+ Proficiency in brush and roll techniques, including cutting and trim work.

+ Consistent work history in painting, with skills in finish, paint prep, spray gun, and roller.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in brush roll commercial painting, cutting, caulking, and construction.

Work Environment

Projects are primarily commercial, located within 40 miles of the headquarters on Brighton Henrietta Townline Road, focusing on new construction and remodels. Work hours are 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Join a team of approximately 20 painters working on diverse projects, including office buildings and business parks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
