We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of our manufacturing processes. This role involves interpreting customer specifications, developing fabrication processes, and providing production support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities
+ Interpret and evaluate customer drawings, CAD files, and specifications to ensure feasibility and manufacturability.
+ Create and refine 3D models, flat patterns, and detailed fabrication drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
+ Select materials, tooling, and manufacturing methods to optimize quality, cost, and lead times.
+ Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
+ Develop and document fabrication processes, work instructions, and routing steps for production.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing and root cause analysis.
+ Recommend process improvements, tooling enhancements, and equipment upgrades based on feedback and industry best practices.
+ Collaborate with estimators, drafters, welders, machinists, and project engineers to troubleshoot production issues.
+ Assist in programming CNC equipment and validate setups.
+ Provide technical guidance on fabrication methods during project planning and execution.
+ Support quoting and estimating by providing technical input and identifying process requirements or potential challenges.
+ Work with estimators to ensure accurate costing based on fabrication methods and material requirements.
+ Maintain organized CAD file structures and drawing revision histories.
+ Manage part libraries, templates, and shared engineering resources.
+ Ensure proper version control and secure storage of all engineering data using PDM tools or file management systems.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
+ Experience in process engineering, fabrication, machining, and welding.
+ Strong knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing engineering.
+ Expertise in lean manufacturing and process improvement techniques.
+ Minimum of 8 years working with welding, fabrication, or machining.
+ Minimum of 8 years working with CAD.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with ERP/Routing systems is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is primarily onsite with the possibility of hybrid flexibility, allowing one or two days of remote work post-training depending on progression and workload. Join a growing company where you can help elevate and develop the engineering department.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $58.00/hr.
