Remote Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated individual with a background in medical assistance or pharmacy technology to join our team. This role involves handling follow-ups, patient updates, data entry, and managing inbound phone calls, among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities
+ Manage follow-ups and patient updates through data entry.
+ Answer inbound phone calls and handle electronic refill scripts (ERX).
+ Order labs and relay lab results to patients.
+ Utilize CoverMyMeds for medication management.
+ Schedule follow-ups and perform triage tasks.
+ Provide clinical support and assist with prior authorization processes.
Essential Skills
+ At least 1 year of experience in medical assisting or as a pharmacy technician.
+ Experience in a high call volume environment, preferably a contact center.
+ Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically Athena.
+ Strong understanding of medical terminology and prior authorization procedures.
+ High School Diploma required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Medical Assisting diploma or certification preferred.
+ Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
+ Skills in customer service, front desk management, and data entry.
+ Familiarity with BLS (Basic Life Support) and insurance processes.
Work Environment
This position requires the handling of 200+ calls daily. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
