    Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to lead and oversee all QA activities within our client's plant. The role includes ensuring regulatory compliance, leading both internal and external audits across departments, managing customer complaints, and developing and training quality team members. The successful candidate will also work on improving policies to maintain high standards of quality.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide direct leadership and support to plant Food Safety & Quality teams, including strategic planning, project management, and issue resolution.

    + Maintain regulatory and compliance of each department.

    + Perform internal audits and mock audits, develop corrective actions.

    + Review quality complaints, troubleshoot, manage corrective and preventive actions, and improve quality systems.

    + Ensure plant Quality systems are established, implemented, and maintained.

    + Oversee the performance of the Food Safety and Quality system and initiate improvement activities as needed.

    + Determine and administer food safety and quality training needs for employees.

    + Understand the SQF Code and the requirements to implement and maintain SQF Systems relevant to the supplier scope of certification.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of leadership/management experience in Food Safety and Quality Assurance.

    + Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.

    + Working knowledge of FDA, HACCP, PCQI, SQF, and/or GFSI/BRC regulations.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a clean environment operating on the first shift from Monday to Friday, with on-call responsibilities 24/7. There is an opportunity to work from home twice a month, and travel to other plants from time to time. The role involves working in generally temperature controlled areas, with some time in cold and warm clients. The dress code is casual, and the team includes many bilingual speakers, so strong communication skills are essential.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
