Job Title: Electrical Design EngineerJob Description
The Electrical Design Engineer conducts multiple engineering functions in a high-paced custom manufacturing environment. You will research, design, develop, plan, and select components for electromechanical and electronic control systems for commercial and industrial refrigeration products. This role involves working cross-departmentally and with customers to design industry-leading products onsite with our skilled production team.
Responsibilities
+ Design electrical control systems, generate and modify electrical schematics and panel layouts.
+ Assemble bills of material and develop instructions for the installation and operation of control systems.
+ Specify components for products and systems primarily used for commercial and industrial refrigeration, and associated electrical power distribution systems.
+ Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals, to determine feasibility.
+ Communicate with the sales organization or directly with customers about product and system design, performance, and specifications.
+ Coordinate with onsite manufacturing personnel to ensure products conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
+ Develop production documentation and drawings using SolidWorks Electrical.
+ Coordinate efforts to maintain compliance with agencies such as ETL, UL, and NEC.
+ Respond to field service issues by providing solutions and support as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in electrical engineering and electrical design.
+ Experience with Autocad Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, and control panel schematics.
+ Knowledge of UL and NEC standards.
+ Understanding of power distribution, PLC programming, and VFDs.
+ 7+ years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
+ Experience in electrical panel layout, schematic design, ladder logic programming, and system testing and troubleshooting.
+ Experience with electrical CAD/SolidWorks Electrical.
+ Proficiency in Windows Office and ERP software.
Work Environment
This position is based in an office environment, emphasizing collaboration and teamwork. You will have a desk setting with manufacturing onsite, allowing for direct interaction with production teams.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
