Lead the Future of Embedded Innovation
Are you a visionary in embedded systems with a passion for architecting robust, high-performance firmware? We’re looking for a principal Embedded Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and lifecycle support of cutting-edge products in a high-tech, high-impact environment.
In this role, you’ll own the software architecture and execution strategy for both New Product Development (NPD)and Sustaining Engineering initiatives. You’ll collaborate across disciplines, drive technical excellence, and shape the tools, processes, and metrics that define our embedded software success.
• What You’ll Do
+ Drive software strategy, from concept to deployment, for regulated, safety-critical products.
+ Architect and implement embedded firmware using C/C++ across the full development lifecycle.
+ Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure seamless HW/FW integration and diagnostic coverage.
+ Lead agile development efforts, working closely with Product Owners and stakeholders.
+ Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality processes.
+ Conduct rigorous unit testing using IDEs, emulators, scopes, and logic analyzers.
+ Provide technical leadership in roadmap planning, risk mitigation, and process improvement.
+ Manage multiple concurrent projects while mentoring junior engineers and fostering innovation.
• What You Bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
+ 7+ years of experience in embedded software development (C/C++).
+ 2+ years working with RTOS in real-time, safety-critical environments.
+ Proven experience across the full firmware lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, and test.
+ Strong understanding of multi-core processors, Ethernet stacks, and embedded OS integration.
+ Familiarity with regulated product development(e.g., SIL2, industrial life safety).
+ Proficiency with Agile tools like Jira, Jenkins, Coverity, and Black Duck.
• Bonus Skills
+ Experience in DevOps for embedded systems.
+ Strong communication and documentation skills.
+ Ability to translate market needs into technical requirements and scalable architectures.
+ Demonstrated leadership in process improvement and risk management.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $68.00/hr.
