We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to support a commissioning and validation project for a Controls OEM. This role is a long-term consulting position, working on the 2nd shift from 3pm to 11pm.
Responsibilities
+ Strictly follow company safety and cGMP policies and procedures.
+ Provide operational shift support for process control applications using PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and vision systems.
+ Apply engineering principles of process automation to provide technical support for automated warehouse, guided vehicles, and manufacturing production.
+ Implement control system troubleshooting support for the ASRS integrated system.
+ Make automated process changes to improve equipment performance or upgrade equipment technologies.
+ Participate in technical root cause analysis, incident investigations, and troubleshooting on automation control issues related to electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
+ Perform required work in a GMP-regulated manufacturing setting.
+ Implement Preventative and Corrective maintenance.
+ Ensure strict adherence to GMP and maintain accurate GMP documentation following ALCOA+ principles.
+ Support project management efforts for automation-related projects.
+ Manage Automation Systems lifecycle including controlled changes, software versioning, and control system qualification, ensuring all changes are properly documented and approved.
+ Support Data Integrity Assessments.
+ Maintain automated warehouse systems using Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
+ Support Continuous Improvement initiatives focusing on Safety, Reliability, Efficiency, and Environmental sustainability.
+ Implement Business Process Improvements including departmental SOPs and job plans to ensure all maintenance operations are performed safely and reliably.
Essential Skills
+ PLC programming expertise.
+ Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
+ Automation Equipment knowledge.
+ Experience in IO Check Outs.
+ 5+ years of experience as a Controls Technician.
+ Equipment Commissioning and Troubleshooting experience.
+ Strong Electrical skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate Degree Preferred.
+ Experience in Equipment Installation is preferred.
Work Environment
Work on-site at a very clean and brand new pharmaceutical environment, collaborating with top-class systems integrators and Controls house.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $39.00/hr.
