Job Title: HVAC Service Technician
Job Description
The HVAC Service Technician must be able to oversee all aspects of the scope of work by guiding others to the completion of the job. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and residential customers. The technician diagnoses and repairs electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems. The role is essential in ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
+ Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and residential customers.
+ Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC systems.
+ Travel to job sites in service areas and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate delays to customers.
+ Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to address emergency customer needs.
+ Maintain the company vehicle's good working order, including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, and submitting monthly vehicle inspection forms.
+ Drive the company truck to and from job sites.
+ Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
+ Understand company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoices on-site.
+ Obtain customer signatures upon job completion.
+ Document all installed equipment, including make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as needed.
+ Diagnose service issues, obtain replacement parts, calibrate systems to manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain the issues and solutions to customers.
+ Participate in company-provided training on the latest industry technologies.
+ Identify and report potential business opportunities, such as newer systems, service contracts, and additional services.
+ Direct helpers on daily work activities and manage their performance with the assistance of the Human Resources department and Service Manager.
+ Train and develop helpers on the job and identify the need for additional training.
+ Maintain working knowledge of all necessary equipment and processes.
+ Ensure client satisfaction on every job.
+ Comply with all safety rules and monitor field staff to ensure they follow safety regulations and procedures.
+ Complete and maintain all safety training and requirements.
+ Prepare and compile necessary reports, including incident reports and service work orders.
+ Maintain accurate time records and complete administrative work as needed.
+ Ensure the job site is left clean and in order.
+ Ensure the quality level for each job meets the highest standards.
+ Participate in all required meetings.
+ Engage in continuing education opportunities for personal growth and development.
+ Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills

+ Journeyman's License

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in construction, air conditioning, duct work, HVAC service tech roles, troubleshooting, installation, mechanical repair, and installation

Work Environment
Duties are performed at variable job sites, including residential homes, large commercial sites, and schools. The noise level can be loud, and work conditions may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust, and exposure to asphalt. Safety gear must be worn as required. This is a full-time position with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, occasionally including Saturdays and variable start and end times. Overtime and weekend work are expected, and the position frequently requires long hours.

This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
