    Sheet Metal Mechanic

     

    We are seeking a skilled Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic specializing in ductwork. This role involves the fabrication, installation, insulation, blueprint reading, and maintenance of duct systems in commercial buildings.

    Responsibilities

    + Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal sheets to fabricate duct components using tools such as shears, press brakes, and welding equipment.

    + Install ductwork in commercial buildings, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening through methods like welding, riveting, and bolting.

    + Wrap and line ductwork with insulation materials to enhance energy efficiency and reduce noise.

    + Interpret mechanical blueprints and specifications to accurately plan and layout duct systems.

    + Inspect ductwork for accuracy and functionality, making necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure optimal performance.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication and installation.

    + Experience with ductwork and HVAC systems.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Skilled in using hand and power tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Candidates at apprentice or journeyman level are welcome.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
