    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    This role involves operating unique equipment specific to the company. Although candidates may not have the direct skillset, comprehensive training will be provided, including cross-training for all production lines. The primary tasks include measuring large pieces of stainless bar, cutting them to specific lengths, or grinding them to achieve the desired width.

    Responsibilities

    + Participate in an initial safety and orientation session during the first week.

    + Observe operators and learn the process of banding steel, tagging lines, and operating overhead cranes during the first 2-3 weeks.

    + Input bar measurements into the ERP system.

    + Engage in cross-training to enhance versatility across different production lines.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to perform data entry and quality checks.

    + Proficient in machine operation and assembly.

    + Familiarity with forklift and overhead crane operations.

    + Understanding of micrometers, calipers, and metal fabrication techniques.

    + Ability to read blueprints and possess mechanical aptitude.

    + Knowledge of hydraulics and measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Forklift and overhead crane experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

    + Reliability and punctuality are essential.

    + Ability to work effectively as part of a small team, with only about 11 employees per shift.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a non-climate-controlled metal manufacturing facility. It is a smaller, loud, and sometimes dirty environment, but PPE including earplugs, safety vests, cut-resistant gloves, and hard hats are provided. The role does not require heavy lifting, as machinery is primarily used to move the bars. The work schedule is from 3:30 PM to 3:30 AM, Monday through Thursday.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richburg, South Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
