    Job Title: Technician - Mechanical to Electrical

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as a Technician within a creative packaging company. This role requires a balanced expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, specifically focusing on the maintenance and troubleshooting of liquid packaging equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on packaging equipment, specifically liquid packaging machines.

    + Conduct electrical troubleshooting and wiring for motors up to 480V.

    + Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drives.

    + Troubleshoot and repair PLCs.

    + Operate and troubleshoot using HMI programs.

    + Perform mechanical troubleshooting on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

    + Replace, troubleshoot, and repair photo eyes.

    + Execute MIG and TIG welding and fabrication.

    + Utilize MRP systems for maintenance management.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience in a similar role.

    + Proficiency in electrical wiring and troubleshooting.

    + Experience in preventative maintenance.

    + Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, including inputs and outputs.

    + Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

    + Skill in welding and fabrication.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with liquid packaging and 480V systems.

    + Ability to work with operators.

    + Understanding of GMP practices.

    + Bi-lingual abilities.

    + Experience with wiring.

    Work in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility covering 200,000 sq. ft., equipped with packaging machines, conveyors, and food processing machines. The position offers openings on 1st and 2nd shift plus OT

    This is a Permanent position based out of PORTAGE, Indiana.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
