Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

As a warehouse worker, you will play a vital role in the shredding area. You will operate a forklift to manage large rolls of pulp and assist in loading the machine that shreds materials. Additionally, you will stage the product and maintain the material coming off the line, ensuring it is stored in designated areas. You will use an RF Scan gun for inventory purposes and engage in light cleaning within the work area. The role involves significant manual labor, with 85% of your time spent on the sit-down forklift and the remaining 15% within the warehouse, taking products off the line, labeling them, and putting them away.

Responsibilities

+ Operate forklifts to handle large rolls of pulp.

+ Assist in loading machines for shredding materials.

+ Stage products and maintain material coming off the line.

+ Store materials in designated areas.

+ Utilize RF Scan guns for inventory purposes.

+ Engage in light cleaning within the work area.

+ Perform manual labor tasks such as taking products off the line, labeling, and storing them.

Essential Skills

+ 6+ months of forklift experience.

+ 6+ months of warehouse experience.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in material handling and production environments.

+ Must be clean-shaven or wear a beard net if working in production.

Work Environment

The facility is a manufacturer of pharmaceutical products, specifically handling paper filling for pills, known as 'pulp.' The work environment maintains high cleanliness standards and can vary from 40 degrees in the winter to 80 degrees in the summer. The role operates on a 2:2:3 rotation schedule, with shifts running from 7 am to 7 pm. Training for the third shift includes one week on the first shift. The dress code requires jeans, t-shirts, and steel-toe footwear.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
