Job Title: Controls Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our team, responsible for installing automated systems for HVAC and building controls. This role involves working closely with project managers and engineers to ensure systems are installed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
+ Install conduit and wiring for devices and controllers used in Building Automation Systems.
+ Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans.
+ Mount and connect control panels, sensors, actuators, and other field devices.
+ Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure installations meet design specifications.
+ Test and troubleshoot installed systems to verify proper operation.
+ Document work and maintain accurate records of installations and materials used.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with low-voltage electrical systems and control wiring.
+ Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
+ Familiarity with HVAC systems and building controls.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ 2+ years of experience as a Controls Technician.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Automation, Troubleshooting, PLC programming, Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, Blueprint, Controls systems.
+ Leadership ability, self-starter, listening skills, communication skills.
+ Own car that is able to drive 60-80 miles in a day without issue.

Work Environment
Projects are located across the state of Nebraska, including Grand Island, Beatrice, Yutan, Omaha, and Norfolk. Work is primarily conducted on commercial job sites, with school projects being very common.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska. Full time job. Long term career.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
