    Job Description

    The Manager, Government Model Operations will lead operational execution for Medicare value-based care programs, beginning with the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP), and may expand over time to support additional CMS and CMMI models (e.g. TEAM, IOTA). The Manager will be responsible for executing routine regulatory and compliance deliverables, leading governance activities for the Mount Sinai Health Partner IPA and Medicare Accountable Care Organization (ACO), and lead internal coordination across cross-functional teams (analytics, finance, clinical, legal, compliance) in alignment with MSHP’s strategic goals.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree or greater preferred, or combination of applicable experience and education

    Experience Requirements

    ? 5+ years of experience, preferably with 2-3 years of experience in population health or healthcare operations

    ? Strong communication and customer service skills

    ? Demonstrated experience successfully managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects

    ? Demonstrated passion for healthcare

    ? Demonstrated problem solving ability

    ? Experience in Microsoft business software in particular Excel, Word, and Powerpoint

    Responsibilities

    1. Manage routine operations for Mount Sinai’s Medicare ACO, including but not limited to:

    • Leading annual ACO certification process, including collaborating with colleagues within MSHP and MSHS to collect and verify relevant information;

    • Supporting Director of Government Channels in preparing for and implementing annual ACO Participant list decision making process;

    • Collaborating with MSHS compliance colleagues and other MSHP teams to ensure compliance with program rules and regulations;

    • Preparing communications materials for providers and beneficiaries; and

    • Supporting the Director of Government Channels in tracking policy changes and key program deadlines relevant to the Medicare ACO and related programs and educating the broader team as needed.

    2. Lead governance activities for population health-focused legal entities, such as the Mount Sinai Health Partners IPA and Mount Sinai Care ACO.

    • Successfully plan and execute governance meetings and events, including committee and board meetings, and new board member orientation.

    • Ensure IPA and ACO governance operates in compliance with entity bylaws and relevant state and federal rules and regulations.

    • Manage annual Board of Managers elections in collaboration with Communications team and other stakeholders.

    • Make recommendations to promote optimal board and committee structure and staffing.

    • Collaborate with other members of the Clinical Operations team, Contracting team, and relevant committee and board members to operate governance in alignment with MSHP strategic goals.

    3. Manage special projects in support of Clinical Operations strategic goals. Special projects may include but are not limited to:

    • Collaborate with Director of Government Channels to evaluate applicability of new CMS models (e.g. TEAM, IOTA)

    • Support VBC funds flow implementation including stakeholder communications

    • Prepare materials for leadership, including performance summaries, and policy summaries

    • Planning and implementation of changes to the MSHP IPA Clinical Integration Program;

    4. Other duties as assigned

    Compensation Statement

    Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64526.72 - $150800 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
