    Job Summary

    This position develops and executes software test plans in order to identify problems and their causes . This position is responsible for testing, as well as suggesting solutions to identified quality problems, and a pplies process improvement methods by effectively organizing and utilizing organizational assets and the application of best practices.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.

    • Document software defects, using a defect tracking system, and report defects to developers.

    • Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, or content.

    • Develop testing scripts that address areas such as database impacts, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.

    • Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.

    • Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.

    • Monitor defect resolution efforts and track successes.

    • Provide feedback and recommendations to developers.

    • Update test scripts to ensure currency.

    • Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations.

    • Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.

    • Investigate customer problems.

    • Coordinate user or third-party testing.

    • Report out on QA activities.

    Experience and/or Education

    Required

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience as Software Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer, Quality Analyst, SDET or similar role. Experience should include 2 or more of the following:

    • Experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies and other

    • Experience with coding

    • Experience with web security technology

    • Experience with software QA tools and processes

    • Experience working on an Agile team

    Preferred

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Management

    • Experience as a Software Quality Engineer in Healthcare

    • Ability to hear and speak clearly for at least 3-6 hours/day
