Details about this opportunity :

+ Location: Pawling, NY (in a Public Daycare setting)

+ Status: Part time / Fee for service

+ Hours: Monday - Friday 11am-4pm (26 hours per week total)

+ Compensation: $19-20 hourly (FFS)

Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. In addition the position posted may be either full-time or fee-for-service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. This arrangement can vary and is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

+ Assists a student with special needs by providing academic, behavioral, and personal support.

+ Work closely with teachers and specialists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure the student’s success in the classroom.

+ Provide direct support to the assigned student in academic and social activities.

+ Assist with classroom assignments, adapting materials as needed.

+ Monitor and support behavioral goals, using positive reinforcement strategies.

+ Help with daily living tasks, such as mobility, hygiene, and transitions.

+ Escort the student to different locations (bathroom, cafeteria, therapy sessions).

+ Communicate regularly with teachers, therapists, and parents about progress.

+ Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

+ Understand and demonstrate the company core values.
