The Role

This roll will directly support Newport News Shipbuilding’s Vice President of Contracts & Pricing Division and will oversee a team of professionals in the creation, execution, and analysis of contracts within an organization.

Daily Responsibilities for this opening includes:

+ Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts

+ Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications

+ Examine estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness

+ Prepare bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information

Additional Responsibilities include:

+ Lead contract team for Carrier RCOH and Carrier Inactivation programs

Must Have

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline plus a minimum of 10 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience OR a Master's degree in a relevant discipline and 8 years of relevant work experience.
