Description
PCSI is looking for a Floor Technician at Evans Army Community Hospital! A Floor Technician assists in maintaining hard surface floors by buffing, stripping, and waxing or refinishing floors, cleaning baseboards, corners/edges, doors as well as performing finishing techniques to protect floors. This position will report to the Supervisor and is based at Evans Army Community Hospital in Fort Carson, CO. **Typical work hours will be 1st shift - 7:30 am to 3:30 pm; 2nd shift 3:30 pm to 12:00 am (midnight); 3rd shift 11:30 pm to 7:30 am. Weekend/holidays maybe required.**

Benefits Include:
+ Base Pay is $19.52/hr. 2nd shift differential of $.15. 3rd shift differential of $.30.

What You'll Do as Floor Technician:
+ Move all furniture that can be moved, to sweep and mop the floor.
+ Use reverse mopping procedures when mopping floors.
+ Strip floors and baseboards when needed.
+ Use wet vacuums, buffers, blower fans to clean and polish floors.
+ Clean (wipe down) doors, furniture, and equipment as needed following established procedures.
+ Maintain assigned equipment in satisfactory and working condition.
+ Maintain and conserve cleaning supplies.

What You'll Need:
+ High school diploma or GED preferred.
+ Minimum of one (1) year prior experience as a cleaning aide or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Must be able to read, write, and understand the English Language.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Knowledge of general cleaning equipment such as a mop, broom, vacuum, duster, pail, buffer etc.
+ Must be able to read and follow proper dilution rates for cleaning chemicals provided.
+ Must be able to maintain assigned equipment in satisfactory and working condition.
+ Ability to climb, bend, squat, push, and lift to carry objects ranging from 60-100 pounds; prolong walking up to 90%.
+ Ability to follow all facility safety policies and procedures and comply with City, State, and Federal agency requirements.
+ Ability to read and understand the “Material Safety Data Sheets” (MSDS) for all chemicals and solutions used during working hours.
+ Ability to work in aseptic areas as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, odors, and infectious diseases.
+ Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
+ Ability to assist and communicate with others as needed.
Other Requirements:
+ Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
+ Ability to work in aseptic areas as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, odors, chemicals, and infectious disease(s).
+ Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
+ Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
+ If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
