Project Control Analyst I

Will be a key member of the operations finance and a part a member of the MSET team! Reviews and analyzes the status of assigned projects for the purpose of cost reporting. Evaluates project cost against project budgets. Provides clear and accurate cost information to management. Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Assist in creating, developing and maintaining operational efficiencies through procedural documentation.
Responsibilities
Business and Financial Analysis:
+ Provide comprehensive business and financial analysis support to the Operations Team, Corporate Finance and Accounting.
+ Responsible for processing AP vouchers and assist in invoicing process.
+ Assist with the evaluation of financial data and trends to support informed decision-making.
+ Financial Tracking and Forecasting:
+ Provide assistance in trend analysis for financial expenditures and labor metrics to build forecasts and budgets.
+ Reconcile accounting system to external timekeeping system and resolve discrepancies.
Operational Support:
+ Provide financial analysis and management support to the organization’s divisions, branches, and Business Office, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals and operational needs.
+ Responsible for helpdesk tasks and analyzing timekeeping system for over 1000 employees.
+ Government Project Support:
+ Assist in providing financial management and analysis support to government projects within the organization. This includes tracking project budgets, analyzing cost reports, and supporting project managers in achieving budgetary objectives.
Technical Skills:
+ Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
+ Experience with a timekeeping system with multiple shifts and pay differentials a plus.
+ Experience with SCA and CBA workforce a plus.
+ Experience reconciling multiple timekeeping systems a plus.
Communication Skills:
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as external contacts.
Interpersonal Skills:
+ Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
+ Strong judgment and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
+ Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Qualifications
+ Minimum 2 years of work experience in Finance/Accounting/Business.
+ Proven ability to work well with accounting, contracts, and project personnel to accomplish tasks.
+ Strong Excel skills to include VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and PivotTables.
+ Experience using Deltek Cost Point.
+ Understand of EACs, ETCs, and unbilled analysis.
+ Ability to work independently, self-motivated, proactive.
+ Track record of delivering well-organized and accurate work.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
