Google Quantum AI’s team mission is to make useful quantum computing tools available to the world to enable humankind to solve problems that would otherwise be impossible. Quantum AI is building novel systems that can leverage quantum mechanics to outperform the world's largest computers at certain classes of problems.
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Signal Delivery, you will solve the team’s hardware production and assembly challenges. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership to a team of engineers and technicians, to mature manufacturing environment, scaling towards larger volumes and higher quality production of cryogenic wiring components by improving processes and workflows. You will collaborate with the broader team to scale up production and deliver quality hardware of sufficient volume for the future superconducting quantum computers as they scale in complexity and size.
You will bring scale-to-production manufacturing engineering and technical leadership skills to develop the understanding needed to improve quantum hardware system performance, and expertise to rapidly increase production throughput to deliver hardware to support systems with a growing number of qubits in accordance with our roadmap. In addition, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer is expected to provide strategic new insights to improve production quality and scale-up for next-generation hardware development and beyond.
The full potential of quantum computing will be unlocked with a large-scale computer capable of complex, error-corrected computations. Google Quantum AI's mission is to build this computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems. Our roadmap is focused on advancing the capabilities of quantum computing and enabling meaningful applications.
