What you’ll do as a** **Lead Accountant
+ Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
+ Support self-insurance analysis, including journal entries, reconciliations, and quarterly controls.
+ Perform periodic Treasury audits, annual 401(k) audits, and annual PPE count audits.
+ Assist with lease accounting activities: lease setup, monthly/quarterly reports, and quarterly controls.
+ Support equity accounting: award setup/vesting, monthly/quarterly reports, and quarterly controls.
+ Assist in system implementations: data gathering, process testing, and output validation.
+ Provide audit support (internal/external) through documentation, explanations, and analysis.
+ Participate in developing and maintaining accounting policies, files, work papers, and system process documentation.
+ Identify risks and support process improvements and the design/implementation of SOX controls.
+ Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and controls.
+ Assist with projects and ad hoc reporting requests.
+ Other responsibilities and project work as assigned.
What you’ll need
+ To be 18 years of age or older
+ Authorization to work in the United States for this company
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA strongly preferred).
+ 5-7 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or corporate accounting environment.
+ Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles and GAAP standards.
+ Demonstrated ability to understand and process financial and accounting data.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Previous experience with SAP, Oracle, or other large ERP system preferred.
+ Experience with Google Drive, Smartsheet, Alteryx, and Power BI a plus.
Physical abilities & exposures
+ **Routinely:** Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods.
+ **Occasionally:** Travel domestically up to 10% to attend team meetings or training.
