Job Purpose & Scope

Helps maintain Bank OZK’s Server and Storage solutions that support and enable other teams in the Bank OZK Technology organization and across all areas of Bank OZK. Leads project and maintenance work, and responsible for documenting datacenter infrastructure procedures.

Essential Job Functions

+ Resolves or assists with resolving complex issues involving hardware deployment & configuration, performance troubleshooting, and other aspects of technology infrastructure operation.

+ Serves as an escalation point for members of the Infrastructure team and other Technology organization colleagues in investigating and resolving complex issues.

+ Installs, cables, and configures server hardware, storage arrays, and NAS devices.

+ Documents installation and troubleshooting procedures.

+ Leads or participates in regular maintenance activities, including software patching, failed hardware replacement, and daily status assessment and remediation.

+ Automates repetitive or critical tasks when feasible.

+ Leads and collaborates with other engineers and administrators on projects.

+ Travels on company business to locations that support server infrastructure and occasionally for training.

+ Responds to issues outside normal business hours, as needed to accomplish work objectives.

+ Ensures compliance with internal/external regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines.

+ Performs other job duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

+ Comprehensive Knowledge of information security best practices pertaining to server and workstation administration.

+ General knowledge of banking operations and financial services.

+ Ability to utilize discretion and sound judgment in decision-making.

+ Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, especially in explaining complex technologies to less technical audiences.

+ Ability to work without close

+ Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

+ Ability to lead and mentor other team members in all aspects of technology infrastructure operations.

+ Ability to demonstrate excellent and effective customer service skills.

+ Ability to maintain confidentiality.

+ Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work effectively and demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing environment.

+ Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.

+ Advanced skill in using Microsoft Windows and/or Linux software.

+ Advanced skill in using OS virtualization.

+ Advanced Skill in using Microsoft PowerShell and other scripting tools.

Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree or commensurate IT work related experience, required.

+ 5+ years of work experience with physical and virtual infrastructures and appliances, required.

+ Microsoft and/or Linux Certifications, preferred.
