The anticipated salary range for this role is between $80,000.00 and $125,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualification, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC MANUBANK offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Associate with strong communication and analytical skills to join SMBC MANUBANK’s Finance team. The Associate will support resource strategy (expense and headcount), management reporting and budgeting, and forecasting processes. Experience in expense management and headcount governance is ideal. The individual should be skilled in presentation skills, financial data analysis and scenario modelling to drive actionable insight. The Associate will be responsible for supporting key initiatives including annual expense budgeting cycle, monthly forecasting and ad-hoc analysis for the CFO and other senior stakeholders and independently managing production of standard management reports and presentations.
PRINICPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITES:
+ Work with key stakeholders to enhance headcount and expense forecasting and management processes.
+ Support annual planning and monthly actuals and forecast processes, working with core Finance teams as well as cross-functional stakeholders.
+ Analyze monthly forecasts and develop management reporting with actionable insights including establishing a repeatable process to produce management reporting on a monthly basis.
+ Identify, challenge and communicate risks and impacts to management team while considering business implications and dependencies.
+ Support the execution of key initiatives including performing gap assessment, critical analysis and set up projects/initiatives to drive results.
+ Work with stakeholders and management to identify and execute on opportunities for process improvements.
+ Support team’s end-to-end delivery of key mandates.
+ Develop constructive relationships within and outside the team, including communication of key messages and updates to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner and managing stakeholders expectations and determining actions to improve FP&A services, as necessary.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
+ Minimum of 5+ years experience in expense and headcount related roles in financial services or related industries.
+ Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and ability to execute and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.
+ Experience with supporting change and reporting transformation efforts.
+ Background in reporting and analysis, expense management, headcount strategies and related modeling experiences.
+ Ability to effectively build and manage relationships with team members and colleagues at decision making levels.
+ Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel applications
+ Proven track record in executing key headcount and expense initiatives including driver based reporting.
+ Collaborative and demonstrated ability to work with a team in dynamic environment
