As Operational Care Specialist you will be responsible for managing the coordination of customer shipments by securing buy rates (when required) as well as capacity with qualified carriers/partners. You will also be responsible for planning, preparing and processing operational tasks with high standards and consistency of accuracy and attention to details, you will liase with internal and external stakeholders to ensure carrier selection, routing, transit time, temperature requirements are managed
How you create impact
+ You will manage and perform all operational activities reliably, accurately and on-time, minimizing overdue tasks, and according to defined customer deliverables
+ Ensure to monitor shipments, follow up on all deviations, accurate and timely updates for visibility in Kuehne+Nagel systems, including financial data, such as costs
+ Reviewing and clarify CCL instructions if there are conflicts or deviations with regulatory requirements, routing, Transit time, rate information, or other discrepancies
+ Assisting immediately report problems, operational disputes or discrepancies to supervisors or managers
+ Collaborating with all partners/suppliers, gateway, warehouse, customs teams, the RCC, and external parties as needed
+ You will also monitor operational performance of carriers and other partners and escalate / create awareness if performance and commitments are not being delivered
+ You will collaborate with the Optimization Team for most effective process execution and systems setup/automation, maximizing systems utilization and avoiding manual processes and maximize profitability through cost optimization
+ You will be part of process improvement identification, and implementing changes
+ You will also work with Sales and Customer Care teams on account implementation, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to operations
What we would like you to bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or similar field
+ 2+ years of Air Logistics Exports/Imports and Freight Forwarding experience
+ Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel)
+ Knowledge on ITAR and Hazmat would be an asset/
+ Knowledge on Incoterms and IATA regulations is preferred

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
