Job Title: Structured Cabling Technician

Project Overview

We are hiring Structured Cabling Technicians for a long-term project at a new Amazon Robotics Warehouse in Wilmington, NC. The project is set to kick off in June and will involve the installation of low-voltage infrastructure to support advanced automation systems in a high-tech warehouse environment.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking candidates of all experience levels—from entry-level techs eager to learn, to experienced professionals with a background in structured cabling. Technicians with commercial cabling experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

+ Install, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber optic cabling

+ Build and label telecom racks, patch panels, and cable trays

+ Route cable through ceilings, walls, and floors in a commercial setting

+ Read and interpret blueprints and network diagrams

+ Follow safety protocols and project specifications

+ Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades

Requirements

+ Basic understanding of structured cabling practices

+ Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in physically active environments

+ Strong work ethic and attention to detail

+ Must have basic hand tools and PPE

Preferred Qualifications

+ Commercial cabling experience (offices, warehouses, retail, etc.)

+ OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

+ BICSI Installer certification

+ Experience with fiber optic installation and testing

Schedule & Duration

+ Full-time hours, Monday–Friday

+ Project begins in June and is expected to run long-term with potential for follow-up work

Compensation

+ Competitive hourly rate based on experience

+ Weekly pay through TEKsystems

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
