    Role Summary/Purpose:

    The Ultrasound segment, a fast-growing business within GE HealthCare, is the global leader in ultrasound medical devices and solutions. The portfolio spans the continuum of care, including screening, diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of diseases. Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is a sub-segment of GE HealthCare’s Comprehensive Care Ultrasound business, with focus on clinicians who take Ultrasound to the patient at the point of care (e.g., ED, CC, Anesthesia, MSK, and many others). Our products include console, laptop, and handheld ultrasound systems.

     

    We are looking for a Senior Global Product Leader, who will envision, execute, and commercialize that Handheld Ultrasound product roadmap for the US and Canada as well as third party Handheld Ultrasound partnerships. In addition, this person will be responsible for the Handheld Ultrasound Vscan Air SDK for internal and external use. This role will work very closely with the ROW Vscan Air Global Product Manager and the POC AI Product Manager as well as the Engineering, Clinical, Marketing, Business Development, Commercial, and Ultrasound Digital team to set and execute the roadmap for Handheld Ultrasound.

     

    The Handheld Product Manager must demonstrate clear strategic thinking, a strong capability to work cross-functionally across organizations, and an aptitude for driving product management lifecycles and new business models. In addition, this individual must work both externally with customers/partners at an executive level and interface with internal teams to deliver high quality solutions in a fast-paced, challenging, and creative environment.

    Essential Responsibilities

    + Act as the primary interface to the Handheld Ultrasound team as voice of customer for the US and Canada (USCAN) region and global SKD requirements for third party and internal integration of Handheld Ultrasound to ensure alignment of the roadmap with customer needs.

    + Lead and support a cross functional global team to execute to the roadmap. Work with product management and technical leads to translate solution concepts into specific deliverables. Provide coaching, direction and resolve roadblocks.

    + Establish long-term external strategic partnerships for the Vscan Air handheld platform integrated into the partner’s product or offering.

    + Work closely with POCUS CTO, technology team and business development teams on partnerships in adjacent spaces. Evaluate business potential and inform strategic direction of various partnerships.

    + Build deep understanding of customer pain points and how Handheld Ultrasound can solve key clinical problems. Build strong relationships with key customers and ensure the voice of customer is reflected in the Handheld Ultrasound and Handheld SDK roadmap.

    + Responsible to demonstrate revenue, margin and pull through growth for equipment, with disruptive Handheld Ultrasound and third-party integrations.

    + Work closely with commercial and eCommerce teams globally to develop new business models for monetization.

    + Collaborate with product marketing teams to ensure commercial viability of all developed solutions.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, healthcare or related field.

    + 7+ years’ experience in product management, product marketing, product development, or related field.

    + Product Management/Marketing expertise, including market trends/analysis, NPI process, product roadmap development, product lifecycle management.

    + Excellent oral and written communications skills.

    + Strong analytical and process skills.

    + Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment.

    + Strong project management skills.

    + Healthcare product/industry/technical acumen.

    + Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams.

    + Handheld Ultrasound Engineering teams are located in Norway and India. Candidates must be able to overlap their working time significantly with the working day in these countries.

    Desired Characteristics

    + MBA or master’s degree in Product Management, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.

    + Degree and practice in a clinical discipline.

    + 8+ years’ experience in product management, product development or related field.

    + Deep Product Management/Marketing expertise, including market trends/analysis, NPI process, product roadmap development, requirements, product life-cycle management, healthcare product/industry/technical acumen.

    + Leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy.

    + Innovation – develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas.

    + Proven ability to influence and negotiate internally and with customers.

    + Proven ability to work globally.
