THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Equal Opportunity Assistant, you will assist with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and annual affidavits (No Change Affidavits). You will provide guidance and technical assistance for related firms, potential applicants, contractors, and district personnel regarding program requirements in program areas. In this position, you will review and analyze DBE certification and annual affidavit applications for completeness as required by federal regulations and request additional information as necessary. You can expect to track and assign case numbers for initial applications and update all tracking sheets. You will also reconcile the electronic Unified Certification Program (UCP) database against DBE files and submissions. Additionally, you will assist in determining whether financial data submitted by DBE firms conforms to the federal standards and create electronic folders to store the data.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position is eligible for an alternate work schedule (AWS).
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year as a Human Resource Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
+ Two years of clerical experience; or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
