We are a leading media production company specializing in luxury and beauty projects. We are seeking a highly skilled Flame/Nuke VFX Artist to join our team, bringing exceptional technical expertise and a keen eye for beauty to our post-production process.
You will be responsible for enhancing high-end commercial content through precise retouching, seamless cleanup, and complex compositing. You will collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other artists to deliver polished, world-class visuals that align with brand aesthetics and creative vision.
Responsibilities
+ Perform high-level beauty work, including skin retouching, blemish removal, and overall image enhancement.
+ Execute cleanup tasks, including wire/rig removal, background reconstruction, and seamless object removal.
+ Perform color correction and grading to match client specifications and creative intent
+ Ensure color consistency and accuracy across multiple deliverables
+ Provide accurate time estimates to producers for projects
+ Troubleshoot technical and creative challenges to maintain the quality of the final product
+ Maintain consistent naming conventions, node structures, and file management practices
+ Implement feedback from supervisors and clients efficiently and creatively
+ Stay up to date with new tools, techniques, and industry trends
Requirements
+ 5+ years of professional experience
+ Expert-level proficiency in Flame or Nuke, DaVinici Resolve, and other industry-standard tools
+ Strong understanding of color science, photorealistic compositing, and digital retouching techniques
+ Experience in working on luxury, beauty, and fashion projects
+ Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for crafting flawless imagery
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
+ Strong understanding of color theory, lighting, perspective, and photographic principles
+ A portfolio showcasing high-end retouching work and color grading is required
Bonus Skills
+ On-set VFX experience
+ Experience integrating CG renders with live-action footage
+ Understanding of multi-pass compositing
+ Interest or experience in AI tools
+ Scripting knowledge for workflow automation
+ Familiarity with ACES color pipelines and HDR workflows
+ Advanced understanding of color science and LUT creation
Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this role is $110,000 - $135,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
This is a hybrid role requiring flexibility to work in-office and remotely. Evening or weekend work may occasionally be required during major projects.
