    Lead Lifeguard The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)

    Description:

    Summary: Assists pool management in maintaining a safe and healthy aquatic environment for all hotel guests. Oversees the operations of the pool/fitness facility in the absence of the pool manager and supervisor. Covers for any pool/fitness associate when necessary. Provides excellent guest service. Handles any emergencies appropriately.

    Essential Functions:

    + Maintains supervision of the pool area, ensuring the safety of the pool area and guests

    + Appropriately addresses any issues, concerns, or guest violations with guests

    + Recognizes and responds effectively to all emergencies

    + Enforces all facility rules and regulations

    + Appropriately addresses any unsafe conditions

    + Maintains a clean and attractive pool environment

    + Assists pool management in staff development, training, and performance review

    + Assists pool management in the overseeing of cabana rentals and revenues.

    + Performs on poolside stage with games and activities for guests.

    + Maintains a clean, attractive and friendly fitness center.

    + Performs other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + At least three months of experience working at a pool

    + Excellent guest service skills

    + Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

    + Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions in emergency situations

    + Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively one-on-one or in groups.

    Required Work Cards

    + CPR certification

    + First aid certification

    + Lifeguard certification

    Physical Requirements

    + Frequently walk, stand or stoop (over 75% of the time)

    + Ability to walk and/or run on slippery surfaces (over 75% of the time)

    + Regularly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (50% of the time)

    + Speech, hearing, literacy, and vision (critical)

    + Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels and extreme weather conditions (over 75% of the time)
