APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY - $73,309.68 to $109,640.88 PAY GRADE: 38
The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position
Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.
Incumbents perform journey level duties and may serve as a lead worker to lower level IT staff as assigned. This is a supervisory level for the Computer Operations function.
The Office of the CIO is seeking to fill the position of an IT Professional 2. This position will be located in Carson City or Las Vegas depending on the candidate chosen and is not a remote position. This position will be a member of the team responsible for providing enterprise 2nd-tier support to executive branch agencies using multiple applications. The support areas are focused on enterprise server monitoring and log correlation, Windows server Operating System (OS) patching, enterprise OS and key 3rd party software patches for PCs, Enterprise administration of remote access solution, and assistance with deployment of software installation packages for enterprise customers. Additionally, the position will be responsible for ongoing support and operational maintenance of the enterprise environment under general guidance. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and two years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security; OR two years of experience as an IT Professional I in Nevada State service; OR four years of relevant technical experience as an IT Technician IV or above in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
Some positions require statewide travel.
Some positions require work on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
