APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY - $59,257.44 to $87,570.72 PAY GRADE: 33

The Position
Program Officers administer a program or major component of a program by planning, coordinating and managing services and activities in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and established program performance standards and objectives.
Incumbents administer one or more programs or a major component of a large, complex program which affects a more targeted number of customers or clients; revise, recommend, and implement changes to work plans, program performance standards and objectives for providing services, and eligibility requirements.
This position is located within the External Civil Rights Division in Las Vegas. The incumbent will act as the Supportive Services Coordinator for the Department. Duties include administration of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Supportive Services (DBESS) and On the Job Training Supportive Services (OJTSS) Programs. Coordinating with NDOT Divisions, Local Public Agencies, Contractors, Unions, and other stakeholders to advise agencies and employees of DBESS and OJTSS regulations, complaints, policy, procedure, and other issues. This will be done by planning, coordinating, and managing DBESS and OJTSS related services and activities in accordance with State and Federal requirements and established program standards and objectives. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, or other discipline related to the program assignment and one year of professional experience in planning, coordinating and administering a program which included interpretation of laws and regulations; development of program policy and procedures; development and implementation of program performance standards and objectives for providing services; and development and implementation of eligibility requirements; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Program Officer I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
Working on evenings and weekends is required.
Travel up to 50% of the time is required.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
