    Summary

    The Trading Operations Analyst position supports both the Petroleum Coke ( petcoke ), and Sulfur teams by providing commercial and operational a nalysis in the Petcoke and Sulfur space . The Analyst is responsible for consolidating and analyzing commercial data, market data, performance metrics, etc. to inform the business and support effective tactical and strategic decision making .

     

    The position requires strong analytical and excellent communication skills, together with a strong understanding and proficiency in Excel. The applicant should be organized, self-motivated, team-oriented, and possess an entrepreneurial mindset. Problem solving, critical thinking skills, and personal resilience are required .

    Key Responsibilities

    + Develops models and publishes commercial ly focused tools, dashboards and reports.

    + Executes a variety of ad-hoc analytical work and presentations as required .

    + Acquires and maintains external and internal information and resources to develop market intelligence .

    + Computes and tracks performance metrics and conduct s variance analys i s to assess portfolio performance.

    + Provides support to the team by identifying , evaluat ing , and model ing tactical and strategic opportunities.

    + Identifies ways to streamline processes & optimize positions to reduce costs and/or improve profitability.

    + Supports and tracks the Right Angle /deal confirmation process .

    + Reviews invoices and BOLs for accuracy & coordinates closely with Accounting .

    + Carries out financial modeling of long-term contracts and project development opportunities.

    + Provides problem solving and analytical support for complex issues.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business , Finance, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline required

    + Three (3) or more years of relatable experience in Commercial, Risk, Trading Analytics, Scheduling, or Marketing required
