CTG is seeking to fill a Mandarin-English Interpreter opening for our client in Hemlock, MI.

**Location:** Hemlock, MI (onsite)

**Duration:** 4 months

This is an ITAR facility. Candidates must be compliant with DOD/ITAR requirements and be U.S. citizens or nationals.

Ideally, candidates would be willing to work in 12 hour rotating shifts, but Client is very open to part-time, fulltime and flex hours.

Screening with Recruiter will be in English, Client Interview will be in Mandarin

Duties:

+ Interpret spoken communication between English and Mandarin speakers in real-time on the manufacturing floor.

+ Facilitate effective communication during training sessions, safety briefings, technical discussions, and collaborative learning activities.

+ Ensure accurate and culturally appropriate translation of meaning, tone, and context.

+ Support communication among team members, trainers, and trainees for clear understanding and learning outcomes.

+ Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

+ Adapt to various communication styles and environments to support smooth interactions.

Skills:

+ Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin and English.

+ Exceptional verbal communication skills in both languages.

+ Ability to interpret accurately and clearly under pressure.

+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

+ Experience using interpretation equipment and technology.

+ Flexibility in working hours, including availability for evenings and weekends (preferred).

+ High level of cultural sensitivity and the ability to bridge cultural differences.

Experience:

+ Proven experience as a professional interpreter, ideally in a manufacturing or technical environment.

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese Studies, or a related field is preferred.

+ Professional interpreting certification is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
