    The Manager, Specialty Pharmacy Operations collaborates across multiple departments to execute Specialty Pharmacy strategies, by ensuring Specialty Rx operations, supporting processes, and programs fully support the Specialty Program Strategy. The Manager, Specialty Pharmacy Operations, works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.

     

    The **Manager, Specialty Pharmacy Operations** supports strict compliance of all Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Companies, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), federal, state, and company regulations, policies, and procedures. Collaborates with and influences internal and external aligned partners to build strategies and capabilities supporting Pharmacy growth. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross departmental collaboration and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.

    Required Qualifications

    + 2 or more years of Pharmacy leadership experience

    + Must have an active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the state of residence

    + Must be certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or through ExCPT

    + Critical thinker who can anticipate team needs and take initiative, ask the right questions and deliver the highest quality experience

    + Problem solver who can find viable solutions that meets business needs

    + Excellent communication and presentation skills to include the ability to communicate and present technical details to senior leadership

    + Ability to work with project stakeholders and remote teams at all levels in the organization in a collaborative, team environment

    + Ability to apply knowledge of new technology and business management concepts to improve operations

    + Experience working in a fast-paced environment within a large matrixed organization

    + Experience in leading a team through change/change management

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Proficiency in understanding and analyzing data and Power BI visualizations to drive business outcomes and decisions

    + 5 or more years of leadership experience in a Pharmacy (Specialty, Clinical and/or Operations) setting

    + Experience in workforce planning

    Work at Home/Remote Requirements

    To ensure Hybrid Office/Home associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Hybrid Office/Home associates must meet the following criteria:

    + At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

    + Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

    + Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense

    + Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone and computer equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job

    + Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

    Pay Range

     

    The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

     

    $94,900 - $130,500 per year

     

    This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
