    Summary You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Weapons Sustainment Support Division, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will collect, analyze, interpret, and develop specialized information for weapon system related test and support equipment. You will analyze spare requirements and provide procurement recommendations. You will maintain program support documents relating to initial spares requirements. You will develop, install, inspect, or revise equipment maintenance programs and techniques based on a practical knowledge of the equipment, including its design, production, operational, and maintenance requirements. You will consult, advise, train, and develop specialized information about equipment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band (DS-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Leading maintenance operations for weapons systems, ensuring optimal equipment availability and lifecycle management across diverse operational environments; 2) Developing strategic sustainment plans, driving continuous improvement in reliability, cost effectiveness, and overall operational readiness; 3) Managing repair/overhaul projects, coordinating resources and mitigating risks for timely and successful completion within budgetary constraints; 4) Analyzing equipment performance data, identifying opportunities to improve maintenance practices, enhance predictive maintenance strategies, and increase equipment efficiency; 5) Providing technical expertise on equipment sustainment, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and fostering team development through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
