    _Our Client, a Fortune 500 leader, is hiring for_ **_Lead Technician – Cell Bank_** _. Be part of a team setting science in motion across the biopharma, healthcare and advanced technologies industries._

     

    **Location:** Waltham, MA

    **Shift:** Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

    **Pay:** $28.00/hr. - $32.00/hr.

    **Type:** 6-Month Contract

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Under minimal supervision, provide direct benchtop services support at customer facilities including shipping and receiving cell lines, and sending cell lines for QC test

    + Responsible for day-to-day operation of cell bank labs and teams, including coordinating daily tasks

    + Maintain track of banking and QC data, as well as provide metrics

    + Retrieve samples from storage and bring them up per scientist requests

    + Ensure accurate entry of cell line-related information in the tracking software, especially changes to cell line recipes

    + Help test the new cryo tanks (Azenta automated unit) and coordinate the movement of samples.

    + Act as a single point of contact and direct line to customer requests from cell bank.

    + Keep clear and concise communication with various stakeholders, including cell bank director and scientists

    + Trains junior team members and interns, and act as supervisor with regards to development within cell bank

    + Coordinates with floor Lab Resource Coordinator on daily and weekly needs of cell bank, especially with regards to large scale projects

    + Other tasks as assigned

    Qualifications:

    + BA/BS in Chemistry or science-related field preferred, or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; a minimum of Two-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality including cGMP and ISO standard.

    + Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
