    The Microbiology Division provides solutions and workflow for food, clinical, and pharmaceutical environments. The markets we serve include food manufacturing and labs, clinical and healthcare, pharma, and biotech. We manufacture culture media and other microbiological diagnostic products serving customers in the pharmaceutical, food, and clinical laboratories

    How will you make an impact:

    As a Manufacturing Operator, you will be responsible for carrying out the production process by closely following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instruction Documents, and blueprints or drawings as they relate to assembly, materials handling, equipment operation, and finished goods.

    What will you do?

     

    + Follow all written procedures. Report discrepancies in procedures (SOP’s, DHR’s, etc.) to the Area Supervisor.

    + Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required. Refer to specific job Safety Analysis.

    + Listen to, follow, and relay written and verbal instructions in English.

    + Report property damage and /or safety hazards to the Supervisor, Human Resources, Safety Specialist, or Senior Management immediately.

    + Document accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance.

    + Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery. Perform simple maintenance and report malfunctioning equipment immediately to the Supervisor or Lead.

    + Continuously monitor product for defects.

    + Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery. Perform simple maintenance and make necessary adjustments.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area. This includes all assigned equipment.

    + Accurately dispense required additives to media and properly perform techniques of getting pH balance as needed.

    + Read, understand, and complete required documentation. All paperwork shall be accurately and neatly completed.

    + Set up and adjust machines to run a variety of sizes and types using tools to adjust machines.

    + Help to maintain quality assurance in your position at all times.

    + Help to improve the production process by actively engaging in making suggestions for improvement.

     

    How will you get here?

    Education

    + Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or GED

    Experience

    + 1- 2 years in a manufacturing or regulated environment; aseptic experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    + Ability to push/pull up to 600lb kettles, stand for prolonged periods

    + Communicate well, both verbally and written in English, and be able to perform basic math
