We are looking for a strategic dealmaker with a strong scientific foundation to join as **Senior Business Development Manager - Licensing** , with a specific focus on IP assets within our Delivery, Protein Expression, Viral Vectors, and Genome engineering portfolios. This pivotal role involves developing and driving comprehensive licensing strategies, identifying and engaging potential licensees, and negotiating agreements that enhance the value of our IP assets. You will be fully responsible for identifying, negotiating, and closing high-impact out-licensing deals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of life sciences technologies, a proven track record in IP management and business development, a strong strategic mentality, and a determined, collaborative attitude to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

+ **Deal Execution** : Lead the full lifecycle of licensing transactions — from scouting and qualification through diligence, term sheet development, contract negotiation, and execution.

+ **Market & IP Intelligence** : Stay ahead of scientific and commercial trends in LNP, cell and gene therapy, protein biologics manufacturing, and related fields. Conduct market scans and IP landscape assessments to support strategic decisions.

+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration** : Partner with product management, R&D, legal, IP, commercial, and technical teams to ensure alignment of licensing deals with internal priorities, business objectives, and scientific capabilities.

+ **Relationship Management:** Build and champion strong external relationships with potential licensees, research institutions, and commercial partners. Represent the company at industry events and conferences.

+ **Pipeline & Metrics** : Maintain a high-quality deal pipeline and report on critical metrics, providing regular strategic insights to leadership through multiple mechanisms.

+ Strong understanding of lipid nanoparticles technologies (LNP), cell and gene therapy, or biologics development

+ Shown success in leading IP-related licensing transactions

+ Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
