Environmental Conditions

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Location/Division Specific Information:

CDD offers diagnostic solutions for IVD market segments, with products for drugs of abuse testing, therapeutic drug monitoring, quality control, sepsis diagnosis, prenatal screening.

How Will You Make an Impact?:

Join the Middletown, VA team supporting top IVD suppliers with OEM and contract manufacturing.

A Day in the Life:

+ Prepare and inspect equipment for use in chemical and bio-formulations. Set up pumps, filters, tubing connections and mixers.

+ Follow SOPs to calculate the amount of chemical needed to formulate. Weigh and mix chemicals with diluents under controlled conditions.

+ Document steps accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance.

+ Continuously monitor product for defects.

+ Help improve the production process by making suggestions for improvement.

+ Clean and maintain equipment and work space.

+ Assist in the training and development of peers.

+ Provide mentorship and direction to peers.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

+ Required: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field

+ Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

+ Ability to speak, read, and write in English, including technical and scientific language.

+ Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

+ Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours a day)

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

+ Ability to move repetitively, including pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, bending, grasping, and crouching
